Description: SENIOR CATEGORY ANALYST Bimbo Bakeries USA has as an outstanding opportunity for a SENIOR CATEGORY ANALYST in the Greater Philadelphia area. Under general direction, this position is responsible for executing strategies that maximize category sales for the Commercial Bread and Cake category. The Senior Category Analyst will develop a strategic retail partnership and support category captaincy through category management best practices and information technology. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Establish and maintain relationship with the customer to facilitate the understanding of issues and opportunities and assists in strategic category planning. * Present findings directly to customer and category team and make recommendations on a frequent basis. * Develop work policies and procedures, monitor procedures for opportunities to improve. * Support the values and policies of the organization. * Develop, direct and interpret research on consumer shopping behavior to assess consumer trends and needs. * Coordinate, communicate and implement business building opportunities across all brands. * Actively support the drawing of plan-o-grams as needed, especially during major reset cycles. * Analyze and deploy item assortment, plan-o-gram and merchandising strategies. * Recommend, test and make new merchandising improvements. * Other duties as assigned.
