Principal is currently seeking an Account Executive to service our clients located on the East Coast.
As an Account Executive, you will conduct retirement plan reviews via telephone for financial advisors and plan sponsors located throughout the eastern United States. Leveraging your retirement plan knowledge, effective communication and consultative skills, your goal will be to retain business while achieving positive plan outcomes for plan sponsors and their employees.

Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required
2+ years work related experience within the retirement plan industry which would include the following type of experience: retirement plan client relationship management, retirement plan participant education experience, or related corporate retirement plan experience
Must become registered with Principal Securities.
Minimal travel required <5% (Primarily for training and National Conferences).
- Active FINRA Series 6, Series 63, Series 65, and Life and Health licensing. If you do not have active licensing, Series 6 and 63 and Life/Health, all must be obtained within 4 months of employment. You will have 6 months to complete the Series 65.
Successful Candidates will have the following:
Experience in Corporate Plan Recordkeeping, Administration, Client Services, and Compliance experience preferred
Experience working with financial professionals, consultants, and clients at the Plan level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to understand and explain technical information to a variety of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, decision-making and multitasking skills are required.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be self-motivated, flexible and be able to use independent judgment.
Strong work ethic demonstrated by ability to meet and exceed established goals, and to execute routinely.
