Apex Systems, Inc Analytical Chemist 3rd Shift in Malvern, Pennsylvania

Analytical Chemist: Analytical testing of samples in accordance with customer methods, procedures/policies and cGMPs. Documentation of all testing activities per cGMP requirements. Technical review of analytical data. Day-to-day activities associated with maintenance of laboratory functions (instrument calibration/maintenance, glassware cleaning, waste removal etc.) Job Description: Perform analytical testing of pharmaceutical materials in accordance with client test methods, internal test methods, compendial (e.g. USP, EP etc.) methods etc. Verify cleaning of processing equipment through analytical testing procedures. Technical training of analytical chemists (i.e. test methods, Documentation, etc) General housekeeping of the facility. General housekeeping of the laboratory. Perform analytical testing on external sample submissions. Such testing may include, but is not limited to: particle size analysis, surface area analysis, dissolution, HPLC analysis, DSC, XRPD, compendial testing etc. Prepare and/or review SOPs, test methods, protocols etc. Prepare written test reports summarizing all analytical results derived in support of Operations or external sample submissions. Conduct peer review of raw data/documentation. Provide analytical support to Operations group, with emphasis on in-process particle size analysis, ID testing, controlled supply testing, cleaning verification etc. Communicate in-process testing results to Operations personnel in a timely manner. Document all testing, deviations, and investigations etc. as per cGMP and internal guidelines..
