Your Impact As A Broker Job Responsibilities: Provide outstanding and timely service and support to clients in conjunction with the other Aon client servicing team members (e.g., relationship managers and originators) Identify and analyze client director and officer liability exposures, utilizing company's financial statements, analyst reports, stock performance and litigation exposures and history Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with clients, relationship managers and originators for submission to insurance markets Finalize market submission and product design options for clients along with relationship managers and originators Negotiate with the carriers to drive best contractual terms and pricing for our clients Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of management liability insurance marketplace, products and services Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of relevant director and officer liability case law, recent claims scenarios, Crime, Cyber, SEC exposures, ERISA exposures, and other areas of the law impacting management liability. Work with our Legal and Claims group to provide appropriate client support in claim and litigation scenarios Provide syndication status and continuous support and service to clients during entire syndication process and entire period of engagement by client (this is a continuous process) Ensure work product quality control by verifying that the negotiated insurance contract terms are contained in the final insurance policy. Development and execution of a client service plan, taking a proactive approach to providing the best possible service for our clients Adhere to all of Aon's best practices Recognize and develop new business opportunities Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience: Legal and finance experience considered a plus – will consider candidates with minimal experience for our entry level positions Previous management liability broking or underwriting experience considered a plus Preferred Experience: Candidate must have a strong ability to understand securities law and to negotiate technical contracts designed to provide protection for the company and its directors and officers for this exposure. Candidate must be able to articulate the key contractual elements to senior-level executives into easy to understand explanations for individuals who are not familiar with the products involved or the contractual terms that govern them. Analytical skills, with a focus client operations, financials, and industry expertise, will be important. The position requires strong multi-tasking abilities and client facing skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to deal with people are a must.
