Temple University RN-Clinical Research Nurse (Recruitment Only) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The RN-Clinical Research Nurse in the Temple Clinical Research Institute will be responsible for the day-to-day activities surrounding clinical research studies. The incumbent will perform clinical care tasks; schedule patient admissions and transfers; and educate and counsel patients and families. Primary responsibilities include acting as a patient advocate; ensuring adequate informed consent process; and working closely with sponsors from qualification visits to close-out of study. Additional responsibilities include working on multiple active protocols across multiple divisions; ensuring the clinical trials are being followed by clinical research staff; and adhering to IRB, FDA, and Pennsylvania related regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with previous experience in a clinical research nurse role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities: * Ability to apply scientific principles to problem solving and to planning, providing and evaluating nursing care. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively as a member of an inter-disciplinary team. * Demonstrated ability to use standard office equipment and software, including MS Office. Preferred: * Bachelors of Nursing Degree. * ACLS certification.
