Job Title: Clearance and Settlement Specialist

The client Clearance and settlement Group is seeking a highly motivated and dependable junior clearance professional for Clearance/Settlements Fixed-Income operations. The Ideal candidate will have between 1 to 3 years of recent clearance and settlement experience dealing with daily monitoring of positions as well as trade and settlement reconciliations. Eager applicants will be provided with the potential opportunity of a fulltime position. Willing to train. Recent college grads welcome.

Required Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of the back office clearance & settlement.

  • Fixed Income functionality is a plus.

  • Works proactively with customers to cultivate and maintain relationships.

  • Works proactively to improve processes and services by identifying improvements and implements changes with a moderate impact on own area.

  • Very good understanding of different types of securities and how trading and/or clearing and settlement is conducted (expertise within a set focus area).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor real time GSCC activity and identifying un-compared trades.

  • Contact and reconcile all differences with client.

  • Manage GSCC Break Report- Reconcile and confirm all GSCC breaks with our clients.

  • Manage Fail Reports- Reconcile and confirm all NFI fails with our clients.

  • Assist clearing firm on any DK's or differences.

  • Daily reconciliation of the NFI trading account.

  • Assist on the July 2018 conversion over to new clearance provider.

  • Ensure proper books and records are kept by monitoring and maintaining all data input processed by the NFI back office clearance system.

  • Reconcile the NFI error account to ensure all open positions are covered properly and all trades are processed correctly.

  • Reconcile NFI back office systems general ledger, stock record break sheets and open positions.

Applications - A working knowledge of any back office clearing and settlement system, and FICC real-time system a plus.

Internal Touch Points - Clearance personnel will have daily contact with Sales, Trade Support, The Technical Help Desk, Compliance, Systems Engineering groups.

External Touch Points - Clearance personnel will have daily contact with NFI Subscribers, Clearing Firm back office personnel.
