Oracle Customs Compliance Specialist in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

Acts as an internal and external resource on international trade specifications, regulations, and legislation; that affect how, where, and to whom we conduct business.

Designs plans for government outreach by providing analysis of emerging or existing legislative public policy issues impacting the company. Gathers intelligence and assists in the preparation of position papers, policy briefings, presentations, and legislative testimony for pending legislative actions. Coordinates actions through strategic partners in government and industry communicating corporate positions and objectives. Projects may include implementation of public policy activities, government and industry lobbying efforts, advocating government funding initiatives and identifying new opportunities favorably advancing the company s influence with the government.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible government representatives desired. 2 plus years relevant work experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

Implementation of Oracle customs policies and procedures within the organization and with external import/export agents and customs brokers.

Responsible for Customs compliance oversight of import and export formalities made in Oracle s name in United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Assign National Harmonized Tariff codes for Oracle Hardware and Software products for specified countries and regions and provide customs brokers.

Determine and provide to customs brokers applicability of Partner Government Agency and anti-dumping/countervailing duty requirements for existing and new Oracle products for existing and new Oracle products.

Respond to all compliance inquiries from appointed import/export agents and customs brokers for assigned countries and regions.

Carry out sample audits on appointed import/export agents and customs brokers. Manage / arrange all post entry adjustments to import or export declarations. Obtain approval for any customs reclaims or post entry payments.

Review new customs regulations, anti-dumping/countervailing duty regulations, assists exposure and apply applicable regulations.

Assess risks and exposures to Oracle subsidiaries and drive necessary controls to adhere to requirements and remediation

Maintain Global Customs Record keeping program for Oracle Global Customs Compliance team.

Perform daily review of forecasted shipment reports for missing Harmonized Tariff codes and need for supplemental commercial invoice creation.

Perform monthly HS audit on Oracle customs declarations globally.

Perform month price paid payable audit on Oracle customs declarations globally.

Assess risks and exposures to Oracle subsidiaries and drive necessary controls to adhere to requirements and remediation

Work with various lines of businesses such as Tax, Finance, Logistics, and Engineering to identify root-cause analysis and corrective action for customs compliance related issues.

Support global team members with ad-hoc assignments.

Skills and Experience:

In this role, you will utilize your skills in obtaining, reviewing, and evaluating customs regulations and internal customs procedures to reduce risk exposure and gain efficiency.

You have experience analyzing and resolving complex customs and compliance issues and making recommendations for compliant, practical solutions to your internal business partners in specified countries and regions.

You have demonstrated experience in United States, Canada and Puerto Rico Harmonized Tariff Classification codes for computer, network and other Hi-Tech products for import and export purposes

You have demonstrated experience in analysis and determination of applicability of Partner Government Agency and anti-dumping/countervailing duty requirements.

You have demonstrated experience in performing customs and export declaration auditing.

Qualifications:

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Experience working in a multinational company with a global remote cross-functional team.

Demonstrated Project Management experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Ability to travel up to 25% within US

Associate Degree and/or 3 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred experience on Oracle ERP (minimal GSI 12.1) Cloud version preferred and Oracle Global Trade Management

Heavy HS classification experiencespecifically in Chaps 84 & 85.
